Originally from Campbelltown High School, Neville Harris came up through the club's Under 17's and Under 19's before playing his first League match against West Torrens late in 1966.

The diminutive rover come back-pocket player, affectionately known as "Mighty-Mouse", was popular with the Norwood faithful. A good mark for his size and an excellent kick, he was dangerous near goals.

However, playing in an era when the club had an abundance of rovers, including two of his League coaches in Haydn Bunton and Robert Oatey, Harris found it difficult to consolidate his spot in the League side. Eventually he was tried in the back pocket, and was an instant success.

Harris played as many Reserves games as League, in an era when the club's Reserves were very strong and won six flags between 1966 and 1975.

After his retirement as a player, Harris joined the Past-Players Committee.
