In 1978, the club's Centenary year, he made 15 appearances for the Under 19's and five for the Reserves. Serotzki was named in a 22 man squad which defeated West Adelaide by 40 points, in the Reserves Grand Final, at Football Park.

He made his senior debut in round 10, 1980 - Norwood recording a resounding 116 point victory over South Adelaide, at the Parade.
Serotzki played the last six games of the 1980 season (including the Grand Final against Port Adelaide) starting on the interchange bench.

Despite stiff opposition during the year from the likes of Rob Barton, Stephen Hoffman, Gary Menzel, Michael Nunan, and Greg Turbill, he managed  11 appearances in his first season of League football, and seven the next, before injuries took their toll.

His father Vic, played 23 games for Port Adelaide (1945-1946, 1950)
