Grant Zubrinich began his senior career with Norwood in 1974 and made his League debut against North Adelaide in Round nine.

The back pocket, come-rover was a solid performer for Norwood in what was a successful period for the club.

In 1975 he kicked three goals as a rover/forward pocket in the Reserves Grand Final against Sturt; the Redlegs winning the match 16.20 to 7.6.

Zubrinich was named in the back pocket when Norwood thrashed Carlton 22.14 to 5.10 in the 1976 Wills Cup (Night Series).

The following year he was again in the back pocket for the Ardath Cup Final (Night Series) when Norwood defeated East Perth 10.9 to 9.7.

During 1977 he also played his 50th League game for the club.

He was part of another Reserves premiership in 1978, kicking two goals, as the Redlegs easily accounted for West Adelaide in the final.

Unable to gain a regular League spot, Zubrinich announced his retirement in late June 1980.

In 1981 he decided on making a comeback to League football and joined the Sturt Football Club where he played 94 games between 1981 and 1985.

After announcing his retirement from the SANFL, Zubrinich was appointed playing coach of the Payneham Football Club (South Australian Football Association)
