BIO

Will Abbott played junior football for St Ignatius College and the Sturt Football Club. He joined Norwood in 2018, having captained the Old Ignatians Football Club in the Adelaide Footy League SAAFL
(Division 2) the previous season.

Abbott made his league debut for Norwood in Round 5, 2018 and played 16 games straight in his first year at The Parade, including the Redlegs Grand Final loss to North Adelaide.

The midfielder impressed with his fearless attack on the ball and the body and was rewarded with Norwood's 2018 McCallum Trophy (Rising Star) award.

He only made six appearances in 2019, his season derailed by a serious knee injury.

After another 11 games in 2020 he announced his retirement from the SANFL and returned to Old Ignatians in the Adelaide Footy League.
