BIO
Brian Adamson was recruited from West Perth, via South Perth and joined Norwood in 1978. In 1975, he had tasted premiership success with West Perth in his debut season.
His transfer to Norwood was not without controversy. After a much publicised legal battle, the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Adamson and the Norwood Football Club. He was finally free to make his Redlegs debut in round 15, 1978.
An excellent mark, Adamson was the goal-kicking centre half forward Norwood had been looking for.
He kicked five goals in the unforgettable 1978 Grand Final win over Sturt and his future at the Parade appeared secure. However, Adamson returned to West Perth after the 1979 season.
Unfortunately, Adamson was plagued by injuries on his return to the west and struggled to regain his best form. He retired in 1984, having played 125 games for West Perth.
