Stephen Almond played 18 League games with West Torrens in 1985 and 1986 before moving to Norwood in 1988. In 1984 Almond had played in a winning Reserves Grand Final against Norwood.
A tall defender, he played most of his football at centre-half back, making his League debut for the Redlegs in round six, 1988.
He was at the Parade for three seasons, only making one senior appearance in his last year.
He later coached the Tea Tree Gully Football Club in the South Australian Amateur Football League (Division 1).
Almond also impressed as an A Grade pace-bowler for the Tea Tree Gully Cricket Club.
