A talented junior, Steve Baldasso was recruited by Norwood from the Payneham Norwood Union Football Club.

The smooth moving Baldasso impressed as he progressed through the Norwood under 16 and under 18 teams.

In 2012/13 he had a taste of Reserves football playing 16 games over the two seasons.

Baldasso made his League debut in the opening round of the 2014 season.

An excellent kick, he was well suited to a wing/small defender role and played 16 games in his first season of senior football, but was not selected in the grand final team. He was awarded the McCallum Rising Star trophy for the best first year player.

He then missed all of 2015 with a serious knee injury sustained during the pre-season.

In 2016 he returned to the League side and played another seven league games.
