Ryan Bastinac played his early football for Rowville FC in Victoria's Eastern Football League and for the Dandenong Stingrays under 18 team.
Picked up in the 2009 AFL Draft by North Melbourne, Bastinac played 121 games for the Kangaroos (2010 - 2015).
He was traded to Brisbane, and played another four seasons with the Lions (2016 - 2019, 43 games) before moving to The Parade.
Bastinac played eight league games for Norwood in 2020, bringing skill and experience to the midfield in a season that was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic..
After returning to his home in Queensland, Bastinac and Norwood had initially looked at him continuing his career with the Redlegs in 2021.However, his personal situation changed, and he eventually decided not to return to South Australia.
Bastinac later joined Aspley FC in the VFL.
