Brenton Beeching attended Campbelltown High School, and was named the best junior in the Norwood's Thirds for 1966. He began the 1967 season in Norwood's Reserves and won the award for the best forward for the year. Beeching also made his League debut during the season - on his 18th birthday.

Capable of playing in a key position, he was used at both ends of the ground, mainly as a full back or centre half forward.

In 1970, Beeching transferred to Subiaco in the West Australian Football League, and played 18 League games.
