BIO
Matthew Brunoli was born on 4th August 1986 and played his junior football with Rostrevor College and the Tea Tree Gully Football Club.
He had his first taste of under 17 football playing a couple of games for Norwood in 2002 and 10 in 2003.
Brunoli then progressed through the ranks in 2004, playing 18 games in the under 19s and four in the Reserves. In 2005 he played predominantly for the Reserves (17 games).
He made his league debut in Round 1, 2006, and appeared 15 times for the seniors in his first season. A tenacious tackler, "Bruno" worked hard as a small forward, and was dangerous near goals.
Brunoli was selected for the Under 20 State team that played against the Under 18 Tip Top Academy side. The under 20s won the match and Brunoli was awarded the best player medal for his team.
In 2007 he played another 10 games for the seniors and was runner-up in the Reserves best and fairest (10 games).
Brunoli spent most of 2008 in the Reserves (15 games), but managed an additional two league appearances.
Leaving The Parade, he went on to have a successful stint with the Meningie Football Club in the River Murray Football League, captaining the side to a premiership in 2014.
Brunoli later played for Payneham Norwood Union in 2017 and Old Ignatians from 2019 to 2021.
