Ossie Buttery won the Reserves Medal for the Club's most brilliant player in 1935. He played at full-back or the wing.
He was a member of the State Reserves representative side in 1935, and was Reserves vice-captain in 1936.
Buttery was selected in the Inter-Association Reserves sides that played against Western Australia and Port Pirie in 1936.
In 1937 played he played on a wing in the Reserves Premiership side against versus Port Adelaide at Thebarton Oval.
He also played in 1938 Reserves Premiership side that defeated Port Adelaide, again on Thebarton Oval
