BIO
Jaryd Cachia played school football for St. Kevin's College in Melbourne before joining the Northern Knights in the Victorian TAC Cup Under 18 competition.
He was selected by Carlton in the 2010 rookie draft, but spent the next two seasons with Carlton's VFL-affiliate, the Northern Bullants, before he was delisted by Carlton at the end of 2011 without playing an AFL game.
Cachia then moved to Norwood for the 2012 season. His ferocious tackling and fierce attack on the ball made him a favourite with the Norwood fans.
He had an outstanding season as a midfielder (19 games) culminating with an impressive performance in the Grand Final against West Adelaide; the Redlegs ran out easy winners : 12.7 to 3.12.
Cachia finished fifth in the 2012 Magarey Medal count, and polled well in Norwood's best and fairest.
He was then re-drafted by Carlton in the 2013 rookie draft. Despite playing 14 league games for the Blues during 2013, he was again de-listed at the end of the 2014 season.
Cachia had a year with Richmond in the VFL, before moving back to The Parade in 2016 (14 league games).
After one season with Norwood he returned to Victoria, and his stints since have included time in the Essendon District Football League and in the VAFA with St. Kevin's Old Boys.
