Michael Cavallaro played his early football with Golden Grove and Norwood.

In 2019 he played nine games for the Norwood under 18s.

He had an impressive 2020, playing 13 games for the under 18s, finishing runner up in the team's best and fairest, and playing in a Redlegs premiership. He also made three appearances for the Norwood Reserves.

Skilful by hand and foot, Cavallaro was capable  of playing forward or back.

He continued to develop, and in 2021 played another 18 games for the Reserves.

Cavallaro made his league debut early in 2022 but that was to be his only senior game, although he played another 14 games for the Reserves.

At season's end he was recruited by Golden Grove in the Adelaide Footy League (Division 2).

He played in a flag for the Kookaburras in 2023, thus helping Golden Grove gain promotion to Division 1.
