BIO

Adam Cockshell was recruited by Norwood from the Perponda Football Club in the Murray Mallee although he was originally from the West Adelaide area . A powerfully built athlete, Cockshell was seen as a key forward, and later as a ruckman.

He played one game for the Norwood Reserves in 2004, and another 15 in 2005.

Cockshell made his league debut for the Redlegs in 2006. He played 13 games in his first season and was named best first year player.

He was then selected by Port Adelaide in the 2007 AFL pre-season raft. Still tied to Norwood when not required at AFL level, Cockshell played another 14 SANFL senior games in 2007, and 21 in 2008.

He made his AFL debut with Port in 2007 when he played two games but was delisted at the end of the 2008 season

Cockshell joined South Adelaide in 2009 and played 54 games over the next three seasons.

In 2012/2013 he played 24 games for the Port Adelaide Magpies.

Cockshell also had stints with Tea Tree Gully (Adelaide Footy League) from 2014-2016, and Freeling (Barossa Light and Gawler Football Association) from 2017-2019.
