Frank Gladstone Cowan was one of eight children (seven sons & one daughter) born to Sarah and James Cowan

Died: 11 March 1966 in South Australia

1895 - Silver medal in gymnastics awarded at PAC Annual Speech Day 20 December
1897 – played against West Torrens on 14 August and 10 July.
First in the 120 yards & 220 yards hurdles for old scholars at the PAC Sports on 18 September.
1898 (17 games) - great improvement in defence near the end of the season
Honorary Secretary of the Prince Alfred College Football Club and received a letter from Norwood’s Honorary Secretary, George Searcy, dated 25 May 1899, inviting Princes footballers to train at Norwood ... ‘In reply to your 18th instant my Committee is very pleased to accede to your request and will be pleased to have any of your College team to practice with our club.’
