Leslie Thompson Cowan was one of eight children (seven sons & one daughter) born to Sarah and James Cowan

Born: 7 March 1883 at Norwood
Married: Alice Maud Mary Von Doussa in 1911 in Hahndorf Institute
Died: 12 October 1968 in South Australia

1895 - ran 3rd in the 150 yard Handicap Hurdle at the PAC Sports on 21 September
1896 - dead heat for 3rd in the U/15 flat race at the PAC Sorts on 12 September
1897 - 1st in the 130 yards handicap race U/15, and 120 yards handicap race U/15 (1 yard) at the PAC Sports on 18 September
1898 – played with his brothers Frank and Horace  
1901 (10 games)-– Premiership player
1902 (11 games)
1903 (12 games) - sustained a leg wrench against Sturt on 22 August and had to be replaced.  
1904 (12 games) - Premiership player
1905 (5 games) 
1906 (11 games) - toured with the club to Victoria, playing matches against Essendon, Ballarat and Fitzroy

Leslie's brothers William, Horace, Frank and Darcy also played for Norwood
