BIO
Having originally moved from Western Australia, Ian Ross Della-Polina played in the Norwood 1963 Under 19's premiership team.
Impressive at that level, he made his League debut in 1964 (Round 4), against newly admitted SANFL club,Woodville.
A pacy, goal-kicking rover, Della-Polina spent most of that season in the Reserves however. Coached by three times Premiership player Lionel Blackmore, the side was beaten in the Grand Final.
Della-Polina won the Norwood Reserves 1964 best and fairest award, the Messenger Trophy and capped off a fine year, by also taking out the 1964 Reserves Magarey Medal.
Unable to gain a regular League game at the Parade, Della-Polina later moved to West Adelaide, and played another four senior games
