Gilbert "Herbert" Dillon, a wingman/rover, played one game for North Adelaide in 1939. It was the final match of the minor round, against West Adelaide, on the Adelaide Oval.
Recruited from the Walkerville club, Dillon had impressed in an interstate amateur game earlier in the season.
Dillon then played three games for the Norwood-North Adelaide combination in 1944 in the World War II competition, as a rover changing in the forward pocket, before being called up for service duty.
After the war he again played for Walkerville, and represented the South Australian Amateur League in 1948.
