BIO

Michael Edmonds was recruited by Collingwood from the Hamilton Imperials Football Club in the Western Border Football League and played two VFL games for the Magpies in 1986.

The following season he joined West Torrens in the SANFL, and went on to play 34 league games (1987-1989).

Moving to The Parade, Edmonds made his senior debut for the Redlegs in the opening round of the 1991 Foundation Cup pre-season night series.

The experienced midfielder/forward proved to be dangerous near goals. Edmonds made eight senior appearances in his first season, but was restricted to reserves football in 1992.

Edmonds then returned home to Hamilton to coach
