BIO
Originally from Immanuel College's first eighteen in 1939, Eric Fienemann played for Norwood's Junior Colts in 1940, and the Senior Colts the following season.
The regular football competition was suspended during World War II and resumed in 1945 when, after showing impressive form in the pre-season trials, Fienemann was selected at full forward in Norwood's round one clash against North Adelaide on the Norwood Oval, a game the Redlegs won by five goals.
He was named in Norwood's best players against West Torrens the following week.
Round three saw him named at full forward against Port Adelaide on the Kensington Oval. He sustained a leg injury in this match, and it proved to be his last appearance for the club.
Eric Fienemann was the father of Chris who played 63 games between 1973 and 1980 and Michael who was a member of the NFC Board from 2002 to 2006.
