BIO
Kevin Fischer was recruited from Pinnaroo in country South Australia. He completed his education at Westminster College in Adelaide.
In 1980 Fischer played eight games for the Norwood Under 17s. The following year he played 13 games in the Under 19s.
Fischer continued to progress through the grades, and in 1982 appeared five times in the Reserves, as well as playing 17 games for the Under 19s.
He made his league debut in round 8, 1983. A reliable half-back flanker, he played three senior games in his first season and 21 in the Reserves.
In 1984, in Norwood's historic premiership win after coming from fifth spot at the end of the minor round, Fischer played 11 League games and 16 Reserves.
Regular league spots were hard to come by in the strong Norwood line-ups of the 1980s.
After beginning the 1985 season at The Parade, Fischer eventually ended up transferring to North Adelaide where he played 31 games from 1986-1988.
