BIO
Brian Fox began in Norwood's B Grade in 1951. Playing mainly as a rover or across the centre-line, he gave the club wonderful service over a lengthy period of time.
Making his League debut late in 1953, he eventually made 13 senior appearances, but proved to be an exceptional club man, playing over 100 Reserve matches by the end of the 1959 season.
His awards in the B Grade included, best rover in 1952, best utility in 1954, and most impressive in season 1957.
At the end of the 1953 season, Fox represented the club in two exhibition games. He was one of Norwood's best players in its win over the Northern Areas Football Association, in Jamestown. A couple of weeks later, Fox was named on a wing in a night game against Port Adelaide on the Norwood Oval, a game programmed to raise funds for the Norwood RSL Branch.
Brian Fox was appointed captain/coach of the B Grade in 1955 and 1956.
