Anthony Giannini played junior football for Payneham Norwood Union in the North Eastern Metro Junior Football Association and came through Norwood's junior programme, before breaking into reserves football in 2012.
In 2013 the midfield/forward played 14 games for the Reserves.
A good kick, "Gia" made his senior debut against East Perth in the 2014 Foxtel Cup, interstate knockout competition. He also played 15 games for the Reserves during the year.
Struggling to cement a senior spot in the strong Norwood team , he made two league appearances in 2015, and three in 2016.
His last league game was in 2017 but he continued at The Parade for another season, bringing his total Reserves games to 76.
In 2019 he starred for Payneham Norwood Union in the South Australian Adelaide Footy League Division 1 Grand Final when PNU ran out winners in a nail-biter versus Prince Alfred Old Collegians.
