BIO

Norwood recruited Luke Godden from the Collingwood Football Club. Originally from Yarrambat in Victoria, he played for the Northern Knights Under 18's and won the 1995 Larke Medal for the best player in the AFL Under 18 championships.

Collingwood drafted Godden at the end of 1995, and he made his senior debut in 1997. Solidly built, he played 36 games for the Magpies, mainly as a half-back flanker.

Delisted after the 1999 AFL season, Godden joined the Redlegs for season 2000. Despite a slow start, he made a significant impact in his first year at the Parade and was runner-up in Norwood's Best and Fairest award.

He continued his career at Norwood after missing 2001, but only managed a few Reserves appearances in 2002.
