BIO

Brett Kenwyn Hand was born in Broken Hill and joined Norwood via the Hope Valley Football Club.

In 1987 Hand played 18 games for Norwood's Under 17's, and the following season was a member of the Under 19's premiership team.

A speedy wingman, Hand made his senior debut against Central Districts in the 1989 pre-season Foundation Cup series. He added 9 League games to his total in 1990, and another five the following season.

Hand then had a very successful playing and coaching stint in the country, before returning to the Parade as an Under 19's and Reserves coach between 2003 and 2007. In 2006 he coached the Reserves to a Grand Final.

Since leaving Norwood, Hand's coaching appointments have included St. Mary's in the Northern Territory Football League, and Greater Western Sydney (GWS) in the New South Wales TAC and NEAFL competitions. He was also head of Development and Welfare at GWS.

At the end of 2020 he was appointed senior coach of the Glenelg Football Club.
