BIO
In 1940 Berek Cameron Heath played in a premiership for the Norwood Senior Colts (under 19s) when he was named in the grand final squad that defeated West Torrens on the Adelaide Oval, 7.1 to 6.6.
After serving his country in World War II, Heath resumed his career with the Redlegs and was named in the reserves training list in April 1946.
On June 10 he was selected in a back pocket in the lightning carnival match against Port Adelaide, a competition introduced in 1940 to raise money for patriotic and charitable funds.
Heath made his league debut in round eight of the 1946 season when he was named 19th man in his only senior appearance; Norwood won the match, 16.8 to 13.11.
The following week he was one of the reserves for the game against North Adelaide, but failed to make the final line-up.
Despite impressing at centre-half forward in an internal trial in 1947, he only managed a few more appearances for the Norwood Reserves team.
Berek Heath was born on the 19th May 1922 and passed away on the 30th July 2007
