BIO
Evan Hewitt started his senior career with Subiaco in the West Australian Football League. North Melbourne selected him in the 1996 AFL Draft, but he struggled to become a regular player in the strong Kangaroos team. After 33 games in four seasons, Hewitt was traded to the Adelaide Crows, at the end of 2000.
Hewitt was selected by Norwood in the mini-draft and made his SANFL debut against Port Adelaide in Round 4, 2001 - Norwood winning the match 11.14 to 11.9.
A strong marking and hard working key forward, he was capable of having a run in the ruck. Hewitt played 21 games for Norwood and 15 for the Crows in his two seasons in South Australia. Hewitt's last game for the Redlegs was the 2002, first semi-final.
De-listed at the end of the season, he returned home to Western Australia and joined South Fremantle. He played 71 games for the Bulldogs, and was a member of their 2005 premiership team.
