BIO
Michael Ialeggio played his early football with Rostrevor College and the Payneham Norwood Union Football Club.
In 2009 he played under 16 football for Norwood and won the club's best and fairest award for that grade.
A strong mid-fielder with very good hands and an excellent kick, "Ledge" was a member of the South Australian under 16 State team, and played in the Rostrevor College team that won the State schools competition in 2009.
His good form continued in the Norwood under 18s.
In 2010 Ialeggio made his league debut against Glenelg in the opening round of the season and was selected in the under 18 SANFL Academy. He was also appointed captain of the Rostrevor College First 18 team.
He played two senior games for Norwood the following year and represented the state at under 18 level.
In 2011 Ialeggio (18 games) tied with Will Dalwood for the Reserves best and fairest award.
In 2012/2013 he played another 37 games for the Reserves - winning a second best and fairest in 2013. Early in 2013 Ialeggio represented the Redlegs in the Foxtel Cup against East Fremantle.
A shoulder reconstruction during the off season resulted in him missing most of 2014 when he was restricted to just four games in the Reserves.
Then in 2015 he played another 11 games in the Reserves.
He later returned to Payneham/Norwood Union in the Adelaide Footy League, and in 2019 played in a Division One premiership.
