Giuseppe "Peppe" Iuliano progressed through Norwood's junior ranks where he won the Under 17's best and fairest (1978) was runner-up in the Under 19's best and fairest (1979), and was part of the Under 19's Premiership in 1980.
 
The nippy rover made his league debut in Round 8, 1981. Played at the Parade, the Redlegs defeated South Adelaide 19.9 to 13.17. A few weeks later, he was severely reprimanded after being reported for tripping in a game
against Central District at Elizabeth.
 
Iuliano's last senior game was against West Torrens at Football Park in Round 14 of the same year in what was a memorable win to the Redlegs. Down by 33 points at three quarter time and kicking into a strong wind in the last quarter, Norwood came home powerfully to take out the game by three points.
