BIO
A classy wingman with a good kick and safe hands, Kieran Kelly was recruited from Adelaide University in the South Australian Amateur Football League in 1962.
While studying at University in 1961, he had represented the South Australian Amateurs against Victoria on the Adelaide Oval.
Kelly made his League debut late in 1962, under inspirational coach Alan Killigrew and was also voted the Reserves most effective player for that season.
Capable of also playing in defence, Kelly was a valuable team man under the new League coach Doug Olds in 1963. He was named the club's best utility and was elected player's representative in 1963.
