Aaron Kite was drafted by the Adelaide Crows in 2007, having shown promise playing for Glenroy in the Essendon District Football League and for the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup.
Norwood selected the athletic Kite with their second pick in the 2007 SANFL mini-draft of AFL players.
Kite had a solid SANFL debut season in 2008, playing mainly as a defender in his 15 league games. His pace allowed him to play on tall and small forwards and he was seen as a possible long term replacement for Nathan Bassett at the Adelaide Crows.
Kite could also play as a wingman or as a lead-up forward.
Unfortunately he had a less impressive season in 2009 and played 11 of his 19 games for Norwood in the reserves. When the Adelaide Crows delisted him at the end of 2009 he gained permission to train with Carlton but returned to Glenroy in 2010 when he failed to get re-drafted.
Kite agreed to join Woodville-West Torrens in 2011, but returned to Victoria in late April
