BIO
Michael Knoll played four years of collegiate basketball in the United States before spending two seasons with Box Hill in the VFL. He signed with South Adelaide at the end of 2018 and immediately impressed football supporters with his height, leap and agility.
Knoll made his SANFL debut in round one, 2019 and played seven league games in his first year at South.
He was awarded the Fos Williams medal in 2019, after a best on ground performance for South Australia against Western Australia. Unfortunately for the Panthers, Knoll was then selected by the Sydney Swans in the 2019 mid-season draft, and he continued his development in the North East AFL.
In 2021 he transferred to Norwood and made his league debut for the Redlegs.
He was again named in the South Australian team to play Western Australia at the Adelaide Oval in May 2021.
After retiring as a player in 2021 due to serious knee injuries, he took on coaching at The Parade.
In 2022 he coached the Norwood under 18s, and the following season he was appointed Norwood Reserves coach.
