BIO
Greg Kuchel moved to Adelaide and joined Norwood in 1967 after playing a few reserves games with Carlton earlier in the year.
At 198cm and 95kg, the left-footed young ruckman won the club's most improved player award in 1968. He had proven to be a quick learner and a tireless performer. Unfortunately he faced a major setback when he broke his leg at state training in May 1970.
A transfer in employment saw him move to Naracoorte and play locally in 1971, although he decided to commute to Adelaide and continue playing for the Redlegs later that season.
The 1972 season saw Kuchel named playing coach of Naracoorte and lost to Norwood for good.
Kuchel later played a couple of seasons in Victoria, and then move to NSW where he continued his footy with North Wagga, winning two best and fairest awards and playing interstate football for NSW.
