Goy Lok was born in Ethiopia and moved to Australia as a seven year old.
Lok had several stints with other clubs before joining Norwood in 2023. They included Frankston (VFL), Sandringham (VFL), Casey Demons (VFL) and Noble Park (Eastern Football League).
He had also worked with St. Kilda in their Next Generation Academy (NGA) multicultural diversity programmes.
Athletic and skilful, Lok played predominantly as a midfielder/forward.
He played 14 league games in his first year at The Parade, and four the following season.
He won a Reserves premiership in 2024 when Norwood defeated Sturt in the Grand Final : 7.14 to 4.16 at the Adelaide Oval.
Lok joined Warragul Football Club in Victoria's Gippsland League for the 2025 season.
