BIO

Born on 23 June 1987, Ed Lower was educated at St Ignatius College and later at Prince Alfred College. He played junior football with the Walkerville Football Club and in 2003 played three games for the Norwood under 17s. In 2004 he played another two games for the under 17s as well as appearing twice for the reserves.

Lower continued to develop and he made his league debut in the last minor round game of 2005, having represented the state in the  under 18 championships during the season. He also played in a handful of matches for the Norwood under 19s and performed admirably for the reserves (11 games).

Lower was then selected by North Melbourne in the 2005 rookie draft.

A medium-sized defender with speed and agility, Lower was also capable of having a run through the midfield, and play as a defensive forward/tagger.

He played 42 AFL games for the Kangaroos (2006-2010).

Lower performed well for North Ballarat, the North Melbourne affiliated club in the VFL, playing in a premiership and winning the club's best and fairest.

In 2013 he was a contestant on the TV reality game show, Big Brother Australia.

Twin brother Nick also played in the AFL, as well as in 74 league games for Norwood (2005 - 2010)
