BIO

Jason "Coco" Millar joined the Brisbane Bears (AFL) from Caloundra (Queensland Australian Football League). An imposing figure, with a rugby league background, Millar was well suited to play as a ruckman, centre half forward or centre half back.

He made his AFL debut at the start of the 1991 season against North Melbourne at Carrara on Queensland's Gold Coast. Sadly it was to be his last game at AFL level. Serious off-field injuries, sustained after the game, saw Millar miss the rest of the 1991 season. He recovered to play in the reserves in 1992, only to then suffer a serious foot injury in 1993. He began the 1994 pre-season with Brisbane, but was delisted before the start of the season.

Millar then moved to the Parade where he proved to be a solid contributor. His best season was 1996; Millar not only made the 1996 Advertiser Team of the Year, he also represented South Australia against Western Australia. Playing at centre half forward, he was high in the best players, kicking three goals in SA's win. Millar also reached his 50 game milestone during the year.

He was again at centre half forward in Norwood's 1998 Reserves Grand Final victory over Port Adelaide.
