BIO

A powerfully built forward from the Calder Cannons in Melbourne, Luke Mitchell was selected by Carlton as an 18 year-old in the 2010 national draft.

Athletic and hard working, he was capable of holding down the centre half forward and full forward positions.

Unfortunately, his time with the Blues was marred by ongoing chronic shoulder injuries and Mitchell spent most of his time playing with the Northern Bullants (Blues) in the VFL competition.

In 2012 he made one AFL appearance in Carlton's last match of the season.

Nicknamed "Squid", he was delisted at the end of the year, and transferred to North Adelaide in 2014 where he played 11 games for the Roosters.

He moved to The Parade in 2016 and made his Norwood league debut in the fifth round. He also played 10 games in the Reserves.

Mitchell later joined St Peter's Old Collegians in the Adelaide Footy League.
