BIO

Albert Moyle’s playing career for the Norwood league side lasted one day less than a year. A left-footer, he played his first game against North Adelaide and it was reported that “he played excellently forward”. He had previously played for Glenelg until he went to live at Payneham.

Moyle went on to play in ruck Norwood’s 1929 premiership team.

Norwood were considered to be a premiership favourite in the following season with  Moyle being a regular selection. However, in what turned out to be his last game for Norwood, he injured his right knee against South Adelaide and then subsequently injured his left knee at practice necessitating the removal of the cartilage.

To his credit he returned to play league football but with Glenelg.
