Ross Munns transferred to Norwood from the West Perth Football Club (West Australian Football League) for the 1988 season.

He had been a regular for West Perth where he made 46 appearances.

His senior debut for the Redlegs was in the second round of the pre-season Escort Cup competition.

Predominantly a back-pocket, he was also capable of having a run on the ball.

Munns played 11 senior games in the 1988 season and 11 in the reserves where he picked up a meritorious performance award.

1988 was to be his only season at The Parade.
