BIO
Kane Murphy joined Norwood for the 2012 season after playing the previous year with the Sydney Swans Reserves.
He made his league debut mid-season and played 11 senior games for the year.
The hard working small forward/mid-fielder made another 13 league appearances in 2013.
In 2014 Murphy played in a Norwood premiership when he was named on a half forward flank in the Grand Final. In a cliff-hanger, the Redlegs defeated the Port Adelaide Magpies by four points on the Adelaide Oval. He played 11 games for the year.
A strong tackler with pace to burn, Murphy cemented his spot in the league team in 2015 (19 games). He finished third in the club's best and fairest and reached the 50 game milestone.
Murphy then returned home for work and family reasons and joined Sydney University in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL).
Kane is the son of former Sydney Swans legend, David Murphy
