BIO

Peter Murphy joined Norwood in 1969. He had been a team-mate of Mike Poulter with the Waratah Football Club, in the Northern Territory Football League.

His two year stint with the Redlegs saw him  predominantly in the Reserves, but he did play some senior football late in the 1970 season.

Fast and aggressive, he played as a half back flanker in the League side, and mainly at centre half back in the Reserves.

Murphy played in the 1969 and 1970 Reserves Premierships when he was  named on the bench and at centre half back, respectively.
