BIO
Ivan John Muster was born at Gumeracha and was recruited by Norwood from the Birdwood Football Club after impressing as a junior in the Hills Football League.
After a handful of appearances for the Norwood Under 17's in 1984, he played in all 22 matches in 1985, kicking 115 goals. Unfortunately, the team was beaten in
that year's U/17 Grand Final. The following season he was a member of the Under 19 side that went through the year undefeated.
Muster made his senior debut in the 1987 Escort Cup pre-season series, against North Adelaide. He had another seven senior appearances in 1988 and was runner-up
in the 1988 Reserves Best and Fairest.
He had a solid 1989 season, adding 23 senior games to his career total.
Originally a ruck-rover, Muster was capable of playing forward or back, and later in his career was selected more as a half-back or forward pocket.
Muster led the Reserves goal-kicking list in 1987 (shared with Stephen Mazey) and in 1988.
He received his five Year Valuable Service medallion in 1991, and reached his 50 game milestone in 1992.
