BIO

Martin McKinnon was selected by the Adelaide Crows in the 1992 AFL draft. In 1993 he made his senior debut with Central District in the SANFL.
 
He started his AFL career with the Crows in the second half of the 1994 season. After 25 games he was traded to Geelong where he made another 54 appearances (1996-1998) McKinnon then had a couple of years and seven games (1999-2000) with the Brisbane Lions .
 
He eventually returned to Central District and was a member of the their 2001 premiership side (1993-95, 2001 played 53 games for the Bulldogs).
 
In 2005 the left-footed wingman/forward decided on a move to the Parade where he had strong family connections. His grandfather Kevin (Sam) Gallagher, uncles Philip, Martin and John, and cousin James had all played league football for Norwood.
 
McKinnon later coached the Prince Alfred College First 18 for several seasons.
