BIO

Tim Nicholas played under 9 football when he was at Athelstone Primary School, before playing basketball with the Norwood Flames for the next eight years.

In 2000 he was invited to do a pre-season with the Norwood under 19s. The energetic ruckman had a solid year, playing 12 games for the under 19s, also having a taste of Reserves football, and representing the State under 18s in Melbourne.

The following season he played another six games for the Norwood under 19s and 15 for the Reserves.

Nicholas made his league debut late in the 2002 season. That was to be his only senior game for the year. However, his 19 reserves games saw him receive a meritorious performance award.

In 2002 and 2003 he did pre-seasons with the Adelaide Crows in the hope of being picked up on their rookie list.

He progressed at The Parade to become a more regular selection in the Redlegs league teams of 2003 (13 games), 2004 (9 games) and 2005 (20 games and coaches trophy).

Nicholas reached his 50 game milestone in 2006 (13 games) and then made another six appearances in 2007.

As well as his 62 League games, Nicholas also played 87 career games for the Norwood Reserves.

In 2008 he transferred to the Hahndorf Football Club in the Hills Football League.
