BIO
Jack Palmer was educated at Prince Alfred College, and was recruited by Norwood from East Adelaide in 1923. He was a junior member of Norwood's League side in 1925, but developed into an important component of the team's forward line by season's end.
A slight but clever footballer, he was a good mark and accurate kick. He played as a half forward flanker in Norwood's 1925 Grand Final win over West Torrens.
While only playing 36 senior games in 5 seasons, Palmer played in a second Premiership in 1929. Selected in the centre, he was named in Norwood's best players
in its grand final win over Port Adelaide.
Palmer was also an accomplished batsman for East Torrens and later Glenelg, and represented South Australia in a first class match.
Jack's brother Bert also played 32 games for Norwood from 1928 to 1934.
