On 17th January 2016, Archie 'Snow' Partridge celebrated his 100th birthday.

A fair-haired wingman, 'Snow' made his league debut against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval on 8 June 1940 and bowed out against South Adelaide at Norwood on 16 June 1945. He also played two games for the combined Norwood-North club during the war years.

He recalled that he broke a wrist and that gave the young Doug Olds an early opportunity to begin his stellar league career.  He also has fond memories of other champions like Sam Gallagher and Jack Oatey.

His younger brother Peter played 17 league games between 1946 and 1952.

'Snow' debuted for Norwood B Grade (Reserves) in 1938 and played 16 games and kicked one goal in his first season. At 38 years of age he played his last B Grade game in 1954, for a career total of 67 B Grade games and 11 goals. 

He won the F.J. McCallum Medal as the Fairest & Most Brilliant player in the East Torrens Association in 1947.

He coached the Norwood B Grade in 1952 and 1953, and was a selector in 1954.  From 1964 to 1967 he was on the Norwood B Grade Management Committee, and from 1965 to 1972 was the Norwood B Grade delegate to the SANFL.  

‘Snow’  also was a friend and associate of Hall of Fame inductees Ern Wadham and ‘Smokey’ Dawson.
