Lachlan "Lochie" Peter played his early football for the Onkaparinga Valley Football Club.
 
In 2012 he played 19 games for the Norwood the under 18 team and two in the Reserves. The following season "LP" played another 16 games for the Norwood Reserves.
 
A promising forward, he was a strong mark and good kick for goal. Peter led the goal kicking for the Reserves in 2014 with 29 majors from his 20 appearances.
 
Peter made his league debut in round 7 of the 2015 season and again topped the goal-kicking for the Reserves with 45 goals (16 games).
 
In 2016 he played another 13 games in the Reserves.
 
Peter moved to West Adelaide and played two league matches in 2017.
 
He then returned to Adelaide Hills football, and played initially for Kersbrook and then Onkaparinga.
