BIO
Tony Plim was a powerfully built, 200cm ruckman. He was selected by Carlton at pick 73 in the 1992 National draft, after having been named an All-Australian in the under 18 Teal Cup competition earlier in the season.
Plim, who was recruited from the Golden Square Football Club (Bendigo Football League), was on Carlton's list for the 1993 season but was delisted at the end of the year.
He then moved to Tasmania, and joined the North Launceston Football Club.
After a stint in Queensland, he returned to play for Golden Square and, after an impressive season signed for Norwood in 1998.
At the time he was seen as an obvious replacement for premiership ruckman Simon Eastaugh who had been drafted by Essendon. Unfortunately, he struggled to cement a spot in the League side and spent time in the Reserves.
By 2000, Plim had returned to country Victoria.
