BIO

Luke Rander played his early junior football with the Athelstone Football Club and in 2010 he played 17 games for the Norwood under 18s.

The following season he played another 15 games, kicked 27 goals and was selected in the South Australian Under 18 State team.

He progressed through the Norwood ranks, and in 2012 became a regular for the reserves playing 18 games and three for the under 18s.

The slightly built tall forward showed promise, and worked hard to increase his weight and strength.

A good team man, Rander continued to improve in the reserves, playing 17 games in 2013 and 17 games again in 2014.

He made his league debut against North Adelaide in Round 17, 2015.

Rander returned to Athelstone in 2016, and was named A Grade captain in 2017.

In 2019, he played in a Division 2 premiership for Athelstone in the Amateur Footy League.
