BIO
Eric Arthur Sexton was born at Kadina, and in 1925 joined Norwood from the South Gawler Football Club (Gawler Association). Playing as a follower, he had captained South Gawler to a premiership in 1924.
Sexton made his SANFL debut in the opening round of the 1925 season. The strongly built ruckman had impressed in pre-season trials and was selected in Norwood's first five league games of the minor round.
Unfortunately he then suffered a heavy knock to his leg in the match against West Torrens and despite being selected as a reserve on several occasions later in the year, Sexton did not appear in Norwood's league team again.
An all-round sportsman, he played several years of pennant tennis for Reade Park, and was later secretary of the Whyalla Bowling Club
